The tension that started in the Pacific around the island of Taiwan turned into an economic war between the USA and China.
Armaments and artificial intelligence races were added to the economic war.
The USA formed the AUKUS alliance with Australia and the UK against China. The United States, which later consolidated South Korea and Japan, launched its “chip wars” against China under Joe Biden.
Japan, the USA and the Netherlands, which produce 90 percent of the semiconductor chips used in the development of artificial intelligence, imposed an export ban to China.
China has taken steps to establish the national semiconductor chip industry in response to the moves made against it. Upon the USA’s arming of Taiwan, China first blocked the island of Taiwan and held exercises, and then warned American intelligence planes by dogfighting.
US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, who canceled his New Year’s trip to China in this crisis environment, was in Beijing at the weekend. However, the talks did not go as well as the Biden administration claimed.
