House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Michael McCaul joined Maria Bartiromo on Fox News’ “Sunday Morning Futures” today to discuss the ongoing Hamas- Israel war, Iran’s likely involvement and legislation he will introduce to sanction any financial institution that helps facilitate transactions involving the $6 billion in restricted Iranian funds covered under the Biden Administration’s hostage deal with Iran.

On the Risk of Hezbollah Escalating:

“The escalation from Hezbollah is real. The role of Iran is very real in this. Hezbollah has 100,000 rockets that could overload the Iron Dome itself in Israel. We do not want that two front war and so that is the great concern…we don’t want a global jihad in Israel.”

On the Risk of Iran Escalating:

“Frightening. This is the nightmare scenario we have always been worried about. Israel – there is no question they are going to go into Gaza. It’s their 9/11, they want justice. They’re going to go in and take out Hamas…So then what is Iran going to do? Are they just going to help their proxies like Hezbollah and others or are they going to get directly involved in this conflict…that’s what worries me the most.”

On the Administration’s Appeasement of Iran:

“Thirty billion dollars of unenforced sanctions on oil. That has helped them build their war machine, their nuclear weapons program, and guess what else it helped?  It helped them give $150 million dollars to Hamas and a bunch of weapons they then used to invade Israel last Saturday and conduct this massacre on the ground.”

On the Legislation he Plans to Introduce Monday:

“On Monday I am introducing a bill to put secondary sanctions on the Doha bank so that it freezes those six billion dollars, not temporarily, but forever. I do not want to see six billion more dollars going into Iran to feed their terror operations throughout the Middle East… [Biden’s foreign policy] is the most naïve foreign policy, or they are just being downright disingenuous…The reason why I am introducing this bill [is] to make sure it’s permanent. If anything, Maria, it’s going to put a heck of a lot of pressure on the administration to stop this nonsense.”
