Police responded to a report of gunfire near a Dollar Tree store at 2:32 a.m. Saturday.
Upon their arrival at the address, 314 Lakeshore Drive E., they found two dead men with gunshot wounds lying in the alley behind the building.
A news release from the Ashland Police Department said: “A person of interest was located near the scene and was subsequently arrested.”
Authorities believe this to be an isolated incident and said there is no indication of further danger to the public.
The news release went on to say: “No other details or identities are being released at this time. This is an ongoing investigation in coordination with the Wisconsin Department of Criminal Investigation, the Wisconsin State Crime Lab and the Wisconsin State Patrol.”
